INTELO VIDEO WORKS INSPECTION VEHICLE

The INTELO video works inspection vehicle grew out of collaboration between STRUCTURE & REHABILITATION specialising in assessing the condition of civil engineering work (who initiated and lead the project), MESEA who are in charge of maintenance on the future Tours-Bordeaux high speed train line, the INSA Lyon research facility, the AMPERE Lab, CNRS France’s public research organisation and MOBILEV CRANES.

This very narrow machine (only 700 mm wide) can be used to inspect works along high speed train lines without interfering with train traffic. It can also be used to periodically inspect road bridges. Easy to implement, this remote controlled inspection vehicle will help you to perform your inspections more cost effectively.

Its articulated boom (up to 15 metres long) hosts a motorised and automated carriage fitted with:

• Two high definition digital imaging devices,
• A number of LED lights for working at night,
• A laser rangefinder for measuring distances,
• A number of environment cameras.

All of the information is returned to the retractable control cab. Photographs are assembled in real-time and any faults observed can be immediately identified by the operator. Between two inspections, this makes it easy to see how problems are developing and to decide whether or not to initiate repair work.
